Lunch!

Ok, didnt do too well today as forgot to take the camera with me after playing about with the 'food' setting this morning while making my lunch! Did well on the healthy eating if not the photo with kiwi and blueberries on my weetabix for breakfast and then lunch/snack through the day of couscous with olives, tomatoes, peppers, corriander, feta, apricots, cranberries, sultannas, rasins, pine nuts, sunflower seeds and black pepper! And then went swimming this evening after after a 2.5 hour University meeting this morning and a productive session on the computer this afternoon! Blimey, i'll be shattered tomorow! Hehe!

Only downside - forgot to ride in with waterproof trousers today which ment soaking wet jeans this evening as the roads are now covered in a sloppy snowy mess! Its going to be interesting out there in the morning if it freezes tonight!

while i was having treatment i lost a load of weight. partly due to lack of alcohol (no bad thing) and then being on the 'too miserable to eat' diet (one i'm not planning to repeat any time soon)

i'm currently hovering around the eleven stone mark, which due to only being five foot four is bordering on the overweight border in terms of BMI.

so the plan is to aim for losing half a stone by september. and if that goes well, maybe another half stone by december.

and i've started that process today by cutting out the bread and having a salad instead :-D

My weight has been on a steady upward climb for a few years now. Milestone numbers that I swore I would never see, come and go.

Having lost weight in the past I know that key for my body is to move. Without exercise I cannot do this. I simply like food too much. I like to exercise, it shouldn't be too hard. I sometimes get so carried away with a project that I forget to get up and move, The answer is simple, I can't let that happen anymore.

I have always taken pride in my strength. I've hauled rocks to build stone walls, shoveled, carted and spread huge loads of topsoil in a matter of days, often carried my twins at the same time well into their toddler years and can hit the crap out of a golf ball (too bad most of the time it misses the fairway.) If I continue on my current path, that physical strength that I've always taken pride in will be lost.

My goal here is certainly to lose weight, I will be healthier, more confident in myself and my clothes will fit better. More than that though my intention is to take better care of myself so that I can do all of the things I love to do in the years to come.

PS. I weighed myself with my camera and took some photos, then put the camera down, that puppy weighs almost two pounds! If I choose to eventually show you all my weight, you better believe I'll be using a tripod!
